How OfferLoop collects, uses, and protects your data.

This page explains what personal data we collect across the OfferLoop web app and mobile app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access, export, or delete it. Last updated: 2026-07-10.

Data we collect

Account information

Full name, email address, phone number (optional), and password (stored as a salted hash — we never store raw passwords). If you sign in with Google, LinkedIn, or Facebook, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from that provider.

Interview preparation profile

Experience level, target role, target companies, interview timeline, weak areas, and self-rated skill scores. This is used solely to personalize the questions, quizzes, flashcards, and mock interviews you see.

Usage and progress data

Questions practiced, quiz attempts and scores, flashcard reviews, code challenge submissions, mock interview sessions and AI feedback, streaks, and readiness scores.

Voice and microphone data (mobile app)

If you use mock interview voice practice, audio is captured only while you are actively recording and is converted to text on-device or via the speech-recognition service to generate your answer transcript. We do not store raw audio recordings.

Payment information

Processed by Razorpay or Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — only the subscription status, plan, and billing history are stored on our servers.

Device and log data

IP address, browser or device type, and basic request logs for security and abuse prevention.

How we use your data

Provide and personalize interview questions, quizzes, flashcards, code challenges, and mock interviews to your profile.
Generate AI feedback on your mock interview answers and code submissions.
Track your progress, streaks, and readiness score across sessions and devices.
Process subscription payments and manage your plan.
Send account-related emails (welcome, password reset, billing) — never marketing emails without your consent.
Maintain platform security and prevent abuse of AI features.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share only the minimum required data with the following service providers, each bound by their own privacy and security terms:

Groq / OpenRouter / Ollama

AI-generated feedback, mock interview scoring, and personalized content. Your prompts may include your practice answers and profile context (experience level, target role) but never your password or payment details.

Razorpay / Stripe

Payment processing for Pro and Team subscriptions.

Google / LinkedIn / Facebook

Optional social sign-in — we receive only your name, email, and profile photo.

Nodemailer / email provider

Transactional email delivery (OTPs, password resets, receipts).

Data retention

We retain your account and progress data for as long as your account is active, so your preparation history stays intact across sessions and devices. Billing records are retained as required by tax and accounting law. If you request deletion, your personal information is removed or anonymized as described below.

Your rights: access, export, and delete your account

You can request an export of your data or delete your account at any time.

In the app: Web — go to Account settings and use the "Delete account" option at the bottom of the page. Mobile — open the navigation drawer and choose "Delete account" below Logout.
On the web without signing in: Email chitranjan.it@gmail.com from your registered email address requesting account deletion, and we will process it within 7 days.

When you delete your account, we immediately remove your name, email, phone number, avatar, and password, and sign you out of every device. Aggregate, non-identifying usage records (e.g. quiz attempt counts used for platform analytics) may be retained in anonymized form and can no longer be linked back to you.

Children's privacy

OfferLoop is intended for developers preparing for job interviews and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Security

Passwords are hashed, sessions are authenticated with signed JWTs, and payment details are handled entirely by our PCI-compliant payment processors. We restrict internal access to personal data to what is required to operate the platform.
